Who I am
I first sat at a jewellers bench, saw in hand, at age sixteen. Fast forward just over twenty years and I’m still at it. My apprenticeship took me around Ireland and through several workshops before landing me here in county Laois. So here I am, in my own space, surrounded by ‘postcard’ rolling hills, plenty of cows, and accompanied by my dog, Spike.
My mission statement is pretty straightforward: Make great looking jewellery that works. I’m a firm believer in the “form follows function” principle that has been used by architects for generations. So jewellery (in my opinion of course) should be more than just attractive to the eye. It should be comfortable, wearable, functioning. Basically, who I am as a designer/maker is as much about you as it is about me.
